Greenlight wins Diversity and Inclusion Leader Award at the Regional Bing Partner Awards

By Katrina Makins | 21 Feb 2019

The 2019 Regional Bing Partner Awards, which recognise the achievements and outstanding work of Bing’s Europe and Asia Pacific partners, were announced on the 20th February at a glamourous ceremony in Amsterdam – and we’re proud to announce that the evening saw us win the Diversity and Inclusion Leader Award. We’re delighted to have won such a competitive category and to have had our efforts recognised by Bing.

Diversity and inclusion at Greenlight

Greenlight’s culture and values are anchored around the importance of making a difference and being unabashed about standing up to do the right thing. It’s this attitude that lies at the heart of our HR team’s talent and diversity initiatives, which look to empower and encourage continuous improvement among our people.

As an agency, we’re committed to learning and development initiatives, and understand the value of giving people the freedom to pursue causes that most aren’t able to in their working career, whether that be helping out local charities or doing pro bono work.

Our HR Director, Jenny Pigott, is thrilled about our award win: “We are so proud of all our people’s approach to diversity and inclusion, and are delighted to offer ongoing support and inspiration through innovative initiatives that challenge the status quo. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made to date and endeavour to continue on that path with some exciting projects in the pipeline.

We know that to get the most out of our people, we need to deliver value outside of job satisfaction. We want Greenlight to be a place where people can learn, improve, and grow. From yoga and mindfulness classes to talent programmes to dynamic working practices, we want Greenlight to be a company that people love working at and that can flex to support the personal development and progression paths of our people. Giving our staff that space to think, recharge, be creative, and collaborate with one another outside of work projects enables everyone to feel included and become part of a bigger cause.

In terms of our charitable initiatives, the consistency and range of initiatives allows everyone to take part when and where they can, allowing us to manage work commitments, all while being able to dedicate time to charitable causes when possible. Jenny nicely sums up the sentiment felt throughout the office, “we’re delighted to be awarded the Bing Diversity & Inclusion Leader Award, as it recognises our culture of inclusion and our focus on supporting and developing the individual.
