Creating a new digital home for an iconic department store

The Objectives

Liberty London is an iconic and heritage department store in the heart of London, renowned for its high-end luxury experience and unique product range spanning across fashion, cosmetics, accessories and homeware. Liberty asked us to deliver a digital shopping experience that would align with its overall brand identity, and bring it into the 21st century.

The Strategy

  • We delivered a completely new customer-facing experience on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform
  • As well as being fully responsive, it also provided Liberty with the ability to trade and merchandise to high-end customers through a mix of content and commerce
  • The search and merchandising tools we deployed also allowed for personalised experiences via Digital Asset Management (DAM)
  • We designed individual experiences personalised to the customer that offered tailored content and articles based on their browsing behaviour, as well as designer and category opt-in triggers throughout the site
  • The new platform meant Liberty was able to offer multi-country, multi-language and multi-currency capabilities to support its worldwide customer base
  • Designed and architected an omnichannel proposition via integration of the commerce platform to the enterprise planning system (ERP) alongside building a roadmap of ERP changes to support the future ambitions of the business
