Greenlight is ‘all in’ for the Advertising Association’s inclusivity census

We recently took part in the first ever industry-wide inclusivity census from the Advertising Association, in partnership with the IPA and ISBA.

The All In campaign aims to build a better, inclusive advertising and marketing industry for all. Team members within agencies taking part in the census were asked to complete a short, confidential, online survey. The survey touched on all aspects of diversity and inclusion, with the aim of providing industry leaders with comprehensive data, for the first time, on how the industry performs on inclusivity.

In April 2020, the Advertising Association, the IPA and ISBA came together to form The Inclusion Group. The results of the All In census will be used to help this group inform an action plan addressing how greater inclusivity across all areas of the industry can be achieved.

Kathryn Jacob, Chair of the Inclusion Working Group, said: “We know there is a systemic problem to tackle in our industry, that of fully inclusive representation in our workforce. To make the most meaningful change, we must set a benchmark to measure and track progress against. This census is a vital starting point for everyone to help build an industry that truly represents the world we live in today.”

The All In campaign and census is a huge and positive moment for the industry, and we’re very pleased to have had the opportunity to be involved. The topic of diversity and inclusion is incredibly important to us at Greenlight, and our culture and values are rooted in the importance of making a difference and standing up to do the right thing. This is an important step in the right direction for the industry, and we could not be prouder to say we’re ‘all in’!
