Greenlight’s LISTEN phase is powered by SocialSentry, a proprietary set of technologies that have been created to monitor your brand and its products online in near real-time. This monitoring is a two pronged approach. Firstly, it monitors the social media space itself, the web and social networks, to identify what people are talking about, whether the sentiments are positive or negative, and whether they are of a severity that might require attention.

Secondly, SocialSentry also monitors the search results pages (SERPSs) that are displayed by the search engines when someone undertakes a brand-based or product-based search relevant to your business and by doing so it can provide the near real-time information we need to identify brand insurgencies and to then respond to them rapidly, but also preventatively through proactive brand SERP governance campaigns.

  • First, it monitors the web, including the social media networks in near real time, working out who is talking about you and where. It does this every minute of every day.
  • Next, it mines and analyses the accumulated data, enabling you to measure your brand sentiment on an ongoing basis. This gives you direct access to information about the proponents of both positive and negative sentiment, and also providing the metrics needed to measure how well your social media engagement programmes are performing over time.
  • Finally, it provides the data Greenlight needs to manipulate the brand space, as it provides insight into what a social media programme might need to achieve and which networks, websites and even people are the key influencers needed to be engaged with specifically.

  • Next, it mines and analyses the accumulated data, enabling the measurement of your brand control in search on an ongoing basis. This gives you direct access to information about the the proponents of negative sentiment, but also whether parties are brand bidding illegally against your brand, being libellous, and other activities that can be dealt with through social and search programmes, or through legal channels within the search engine companies themselves or outside of their processes if necessary.
