Leading global property expert Goodman Group appoints Greenlight to optimise on-line presence

Goodman Group, the leading global property experts in logistics and business space provision, and the largest listed industrial property Group in Australia, has appointed Greenlight, to raise the online visibility of its nationwide business and science parks portfolio, and logistics operation in the UK.

Greenlight has been appointed to enhance Goodman UK's natural search visibility for its UK-wide business and science park and logistics development websites, to broaden the Group's reach to its intended audience and to raise the brands' on-line visibility.

Search engine optimisation is an ever changing landscape as depending on where the online searches are being conducted from geographically and regionally, the results that come up can be, and often are, different. As such, one of the challenges in Greenlight's campaign will be to optimise Goodman UK's business and science parks and logistics websites for local information and in tandem ensure that the Google Places page is credible for these local searches.

Julia Timms, Marketing Director, Goodman UK, comments:

"The team at Greenlight demonstrated a thorough understanding of UK business, our marketing objectives and how these need to translate in business terms. Greenlight has made a clear assessment of the challenges that lie ahead and devised a strategic, creative and credible programme to address and overcome them, the combination of which left us in no doubt as to the agency's credentials to meet the brief."

As part of its strategy, Greenlight will:

  • Carry out a full search engine optimisation (SEO) audit of all Goodman's UK business and science parks, and logistics, websites
  • Identify key search terms that each of the priority business locations specified need to be visible for

  • Rollout a creative link building programme to improve the Group's page rankings for them online, thereby making the respective sites more immediately visible to searchers.  Search engines use links as the primary way to determine the credibility of websites. Building links will also aid in strengthening relevance for local search
